History behind foot worship and the importance of foot worship in history

Foot worship is a sexual fetish that has not been widely documented throughout history. This particular fetish is not commonly accepted by the general population. However, there is some evidence that this foot worship has been practiced for quite some time.

Sigmund Freud was one of the first people that documented foot worship. He compared the fetish to a Chinese ritual that is called foot binding. In foot binding, the feet are bound with cloth when a girl is very young, usually between the ages of three and ten, when the arches of the foot have not yet fallen. The process was usually begun in the winter when the feet were numb from the cold temperatures. This was done in an attempt to spare some of the pain that is associated with the process.

They would start by preparing the foot for the binding process. The toenails of the girl were clipped back and the feet were soaked in a warm bath. After the feet were soaked they would be gently massaged. All of this was done in an attempt to soften the skin so that the foot could be bent with more ease and less pain.

The next step in the process was to bend the toes back until they reached the sole of the foot and broke. After the toes were broken and held tightly against the the sole of the foot, the arch was then broken. This was accomplished by bending the foot down until the bone broke and the foot folded together at the arch. The final step was to bind the foot with wet cloth.

The cloth was wrapped around the foot in an interweaving pattern and pulled tightly with each pass. Tightening the bandages allowed for the foot to be pulled together until the ball of the foot and the heel came together, thereby folding the foot at the broken arch. Once the foot was wrapped very tightly the bandages were lashed together with a needle and thread to prevent the cloth from coming loose. When the cloth dried it form a tight cast around the foot thereby constricting the movement of the toes and arches. The feet were bound very often and this continued until all growth in the foot stopped. The desired result was a foot that was no more than three inches from the back to the front.

While foot binding was practiced for many years in China, it was neither safe nor comfortable. The process is extremely painful and the pain only increased due to the fact that the girl would virtually crush the bones in her feet as she walked on them. This led to extreme foot pain and disabilities as she grew older. However, this is one of the rituals associated with the history of foot worship.
